Board and Train


My Board and Train program is like no other. Your pet stays with me in my home and is treated like a part of my family during their stay! I work with a limited number of dogs at a time so that I really get to know your dog and can tailor their training to them. I discover how your dog learns best, their individual needs, their motivations, and I give you a Homework and Notes binder to go home with that is personalized to YOUR dog! By having your dog train in my home, I am able to set them up in realistic scenarios you won't get in a kennel setting.
 
Depending on the length of the program you choose, your dog will stay with me for 2-4 weeks. You will receive (1) mid-session (held at my house) and (2) go-home sessions (held at your house) to show you all the commands your dog now knows and how to hold them accountable for them.

*Please note : Only the 4 week Board and Train is for dogs with significant behavior issues (aggression-dog or human, anxiety, resource guarding, etc.)*

The Jumpstart

This course is ideal for owners that would like to have some hands-on experience training their dogs, but not have to put in all the hundreds of reps that are required in the beginning stages of training.

This program provides your dog with a solid foundation of all the obedience commands. You then tailor your dog to your lifestyle by "proofing" them. "Proofing" is using your dog's commands to expose them to triggers/distractions by taking them out on field trips. This means, if you want your dog to be really comfortable around children, it would be your job to expose them to playgrounds, loud children, etc. using the basic commands that I have taught them.

Your dog will learn the following commands on and off-leash:

  • Sit
  • Down
  • Lay

  • Here

  • Place

  • Out

Your dog will also learn on-leash Heel

Course length : 2 weeks

Owners receive a mid-session and a 2-day go-home session.

A herm sprenger prong collar and a Mini Educator ecollar IS included.

Dogs must be up to date on the Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccines.

 

 

The Standard

This course is ideal for owners that would just like to have to upkeep the training and hold their dog accountable for their commands and behavior. With this course, we do the "proofing" for you. This means, if you want your dog to be able to go off-leash hiking with you, we will proof them for that lifestyle. If you want your dog to be bomb-proof around children, we will proof them to that lifestyle. You let us know the goals you have for your dog and we will do our best to proof them to those standards.

Your dog will learn the following commands on and off-leash:

  • Sit
  • Down
  • Lay
  • Here
  • Place
  • Heel (if applicable off-leash)
  • Out

Course length : 3 weeks

Owners receive a mid-session and a 2-day go-home session.

The Elite

This course includes everything that the Standard course does, but we can also address any significant behavior issues your dog is having (i.e. dog aggression, human aggression, resource guarding, anxiety, etc.)

Your dog will learn the following commands on and off-leash:

  • Sit
  • Down
  • Lay
  • Here
  • Place
  • Heel (if applicable off-leash)
  • Out

Course length : 4 weeks

Owners receive a mid-session and a 2-day go-home session.

A herm sprenger prong collar and a Mini Educator ecollar IS included.
